Dr. Venkatesh B.S. is a Consultant in Abdominal Organ and Multivisceral Transplantation based in Chennai.  He finished his M.Ch (HPB Surgery & Liver Transplant) from the prestigious Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, New Delhi. With a decade of specialized experience in Liver Transplantation and HPB Surgery, Dr. Venkatesh has played a pivotal role in over 450 liver transplants and 200 complex HPB procedures, spanning both living donor (LDLT) and deceased donor (DDLT) programs and is now advancing into robotic HPB surgery. He is currently getting trained under world renowned surgeon Dr Anil Vaidya in Pancreas, Small Intestine,  Multivisceral transplants &  in the field of Transplant Oncology. 

His outstanding work has earned him multiple accolades — including the Gold Medal in Surgical Gastroenterology, the ILBS Young Mentor Award, and an international Travel Grant for his oral presentation at the Asian Transplant Week in Seoul. He also received the Best E-Video Award for robotic liver surgery at the IHPBA National Conference.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Venkatesh has contributed to impactful clinical research and has published in high-impact journals. He has also extended his services to outreach transplant clinics across underserved regions in India, demonstrating a commitment to both academic excellence and community care.
